Second Linin’
The second line history in New Orleans is almost as old as the city itself as its origins can be traced back to the West-African circle or ring dances, traditions the enslaved population took with them. Through the year it has been evolved to an uncompromising celebration of life. Sorrows of the day take a backseat as one parades and buckjumps surrounded by the energetic analog sounds of the brass bands and the digital power of bounce music.
